Medical imaging for dental applications

Top online medical image storage solution providers including ImageNetMD and Intelemage are developing better solutions and added features to keep their customers happy. All these new features are added to make the solutions even more functional. One of the recently added features commonly found in almost all high quality medical image storage solutions is automatic archiving. What benefits does this new feature brings?

When you use a medical image storage server, the performance of the system highly depends on the size of the stored database. It is only natural that the system becomes rather slow when storing large amount of accumulated diagnostic images. This is when the automatic archiving feature kicks in.

All old medical images will be automatically sorted and moved to a separate archive server. The main server is kept at an optimum level when this feature is activated, allowing users to access the important medical images quickly and effectively.

Automatic archiving is based on two main parameters: capture date and last access date. You have the freedom of setting these parameters according to your practice’s needs and preferences. If you set the last access date to 5 days, for example, all medical images that haven’t been accessed the past 5 days will automatically be archived.
